Job summary

Thorn Baker Recruitment are recruiting experienced Food Production & Packing operatives for a client in Wigston, Leicester. The role runs on a 4 on 4 off shift with days from 6am to 6pm, involving packing baked goods, tray preparation, manual handling, and moving trolleys.

Excellent canteen facilities and ongoing training are provided. Previous food production or packing experience is desirable; 12-hour shifts are required and access to Wigston for early starts is necessary as public transport

Responsibilities

• Pack baked items and place onto trays.
• Move items within the warehouse and push/pull trolleys.
• Assist with stacking and loading in the packing area.
• Maintain clean, safe working conditions in a busy environment.
• Utilise canteen facilities and participate in on-going training.

The Job:

Day Shift is 6am-6pm

• Packing of baked items
• Putting items onto trays
• Some manual handing work needed in some departments
• Working warehouse or moving trolleys around
• Excellent clean working conditions
• Canteen facilities
• On-going training & support offered

Salary is £13.52 per hour for days

About you:

• Previous food production or food packing experience is desirable
• Able to work 12 hour shifts
• Able to work on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern
• Access to get to Wigston for 6am starts as there is no public transport until a bit later
