Job description

Food Production Technician - Temp to Perm - 16.30ph - 30 Hours Per Week - Own Transport Required

We are pleased to partner with a well-established food manufacturer based in the Essex countryside, between Maldon and Tolleshunt D'Arcy.

This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, with the first three months working through Prime Appointments before transitioning to a permanent role.

Job Details:

  • Hourly Rate: 16.30 per hour
  • Hours: 6:30 am to 12:30 pm, five days a week (fixed days, may include a weekend)
  • Flexibility: Shifts may change in the future
  • Location: Own transport required due to location

Key Responsibilities of the Food Production Technician:

  • Operate production machinery safely and efficiently
  • Conduct visual quality checks on products
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and site protocols
  • Accurately complete production paperwork
  • Use pallet and pump trucks as needed
  • Set up and adjust production machinery
  • Perform physical, heavy-duty production tasks
  • Maintain high housekeeping and hygiene standards
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Requirements of the Food Production Technician:

  • Previous experience in Manufacturing and Production preferred
  • Ability to perform manual handling tasks
  • Valid counterbalance forklift license is an advantage
  • Own transport required
  • Strong teamwork skills and a proactive approach
  • Willingness to work overtime when needed
  • Flexible and adaptable to shift changes
