Job description

Overview

Food Production Operative (Full time Position) We are looking for several Food Production Operatives to work in a large food production and distribution site in Rogerstone, Newport NP10 9SA.

Your work rota

• 06:00-18:00pm Days or Nights: 18:00 to 06:00am and 23:30 to 07:00
• On the Day shift you will be working 4 days. On the night shift you will be working 5 Nights
• Both shifts must include working at least 1 weekend
• Must be able to work full-time

Your pay rate as a Food Production Operative

• Standard Days: £12.21
• Overtime Day Rate: £18.32
• Standard Nights: £12.37
• Overtime Night rate: £18.56

Role and responsibilities

• Packing of customer product as per required specification
• Basic Quality checks of product
• General production duties
• Some lifting of product
• Maintain high levels of housekeeping and ensure food hygiene is adhered to
• To work effectively and safely in line with H&S requirements
• This is a fast-moving environment, all team members must work whilst maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and compliance within the hygiene regulations at all times
• General Duties outlined by your shift supervisor

Skills and experience

• Able to start immediately and are looking for long-term work
• Previous food production experience is not needed
• Able to work up to 12 hours per shift
• You will be able to travel to NP10 9SA
