Job summary

HRGO Recruitment is seeking a Food Production Operative for an immediate start in the CM22 area (Bishop's Stortford / Hatfield Broad Oak vicinity). The role is full-time, temporary-to-permanent, with shift from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM and hourly pay of £12.71–£13.51.

Own transport is preferred, with bus services available nearby. You will feed raw materials, label finished goods, and handle loading on the production lines in a chilled environment around 5°C.

Location: Bishop's Stortford / Takeley / Hatfield Broad Oak / Hatfield Heath Stansted / Great Dunmow area (CM22) Own transport is highly desired but there is bus service from Bishops Stortford tba

Salary: 12.71 to 13.51 per hour plus some great perks

Shift Pattern: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Includes a 30-minute lunch break)

Join a well-established, family-owned business celebrating its centenary (100 years) next year! We are looking for reliable Food Production Operatives to join the team in the CM22 area. Positions are starting immediately.

The Role

• Feeding raw materials into the production lines.
• Packing and labelling finished goods efficiently.
• Loading and offloading items safely.

Working Environment & Dress Code

The Environment: You will be working in an ambient, cold food-production environment (around 5 degrees Celsius).

Clothing: Please wear warm, comfortable clothing

Hygiene Standards: For food safety reasons, no jewellery or facial piercings are permitted on the factory floor.

PPE: All relevant PPE is provided daily.

Pay Structure & Progression

Temp-to-Perm Increase: An extra 0.30 per hour upon successful permanent transition.

Skill-Up Bonus: Earn an additional 0.50 per hour once permanent by training on specific machinery.

Top Potential Rate: 13.51 per hour
