Job summary

CDH Recruitment Limited is recruiting for a Cook in Hastings. The role involves producing a range of food products, following recipes and cooking times, and packaging. The job offers on-site, temporary work with a potential to go permanent for the right candidate.

Applicants should have good general education, be able to read and write, and work well in a team. Full training is provided, with emphasis on hygiene and health and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Good general education.
• Ability to cook or experience of cooking in a similar environment is desirable.
• Good communication skills.
• Must be able to read and write.
• Ability to work as a team.
• Knowledge of hygiene practices.
• Must be able to do heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

• Produce a range of food products to the required standards and maintain stock levels.
• Follow recipes and cooking times.
• Carry out hot and cold fill packaging and chilling as required.
• Ensure machinery is cleaned in line with policy and procedures.
• Keep work area clean, sanitized, tidy and well maintained.
• Complete records for cleaning activities and goods produced.
• Follow stock rotation procedures and report shortages to supervisor.
• Maintain high hygiene levels personally and in the work area.
• Comply with health and safety legislation.
• Support other production areas as required.
