Overview

As a FoodProduction Assistant at Sodexo in Chesterfield Royal Hospital, you'll play an important part in preparing and serving nutritious, comforting meals that support patient recovery and wellbeing. You'll also help maintain a clean, safe environment in the kitchen and dining areas. With a cheerful attitude and great customer service, your presence can make a real difference in someone's day. What you'll do

• Follow specified cooking and preparation methods to maintain high production and service standards.
• Complete all production documentation (e.g., temperature records) to comply with hygiene, health & safety, and food safety regulations.
• Monitor production and wastage according to daily modis sheets.
• Deliver ward order requests as directed and complete all related delivery documentation.
• Accurately collate paperwork for food service forms and numbers.
• Clean service equipment using mechanical dishwashing and hand washing; maintain kitchen cleanliness per safety management standards.
• Report mechanical defects to the duty supervisor and comply with all training requirements, including food safety and health & safety certifications.
• Follow food safety legislation guidelines and complete operational tasks or requests as directed by management.

• Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers, clients and staff
• Ability to work well under pressure
