Job summary

Krispy Kreme in Rochdale is recruiting a Food Processing Shift Leader to run the doughnut decorating team on shift. You’ll coach and support the processing crew, ensure targets are met with quality, and uphold food safety standards.

Join a fast-paced, hands-on environment where you’ll train colleagues, optimize operations, and help deliver fresh doughnuts to shops and customers. Weekend shifts included; full-time role.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in food or production settings.
• Ability to solve problems quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable standing for long shifts and performing physical tasks.
• Willingness to rotate across full shift patterns, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and support the processing team on shift.
• Ensure production targets are met with high quality and consistency.
• Prepare, decorate, and box doughnuts to specification.
• Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards.
• Collaborate with managers to improve daily operations and handovers.
• Provide training and development opportunities for team members.
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste.

In our standalone factories, you’ll join a dedicated team responsible for mixing, processing, and packaging our world-famous doughnuts — fresh and ready to ship to local stores and supermarket shelves. It’s fast-paced, hands-on work where every role plays a key part in our success.

Depending on the location, you may be applying to work in one of our unique theatre stores — where the factory is front and centre, and the doughnut-making magic happens live for customers to see. When the Hot light is on, it’s showtime! Guests gather to watch the doughnuts being mixed, fried, and glazed in real time — and your part of the performance.

No baking experience? No problem. We provide full training — all you need is a great attitude, a team mindset, and a readiness to learn. Whether you're behind the scenes or in the spotlight, this is your chance to grow your career while making something people love.

We’re on the lookout for a Food Processing Shift Leader to join our team and help lead the way in doughnut perfection. As a Shift Leader in our doughnut decorating team, you'll run the shift on the shop floor, support your team, and help ensure every single doughnut meets Krispy Kreme’s gold standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and support the processing team during your shift.
• Production Oversight: Ensure targets are met while maintaining quality and consistency.
• Doughnut Preparation: Mix, decorate, fill, and box fresh doughnuts to specification.
• Food Safety & Hygiene: Maintain top-tier food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Operational Collaboration: Collaborate with managers to improve daily operations and shift handovers.
• Training & Development: Provide training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and performance.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.

What We’re Looking For

• Leadership Experience: Previous team leader or supervisory experience in a food or production setting.
• Physical Stamina: Comfortable with physically active, on-your-feet work.
• Problem-Solving Skills: A calm, focused problem solver who thrives in fast-paced environments.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work across the full shift rota, including weekends.
• Team-Oriented: Reliable, positive, and motivated by teamwork and results.
