Job summary

Swissport is hiring a Catering Agent/Lounge Cook at Belfast City Airport. You will join a fast‑paced pre‑flight hospitality team, preparing hot and cold dishes for the Aspire Lounge guests and ensuring food safety standards.

This full‑time role offers 37.5 hours per week, shift work from early morning to early evening, and a competitive hourly rate with a night shift allowance. You will be supported by training and development opportunities in a leading aviation services provider.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality, ideally in an operational environment.
• Ability to interact with guests, partners and suppliers.
• Allergens and Food Safety qualifications (training provided).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Multitask, prioritise and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Shift flexibility to cover a 7-day operation including early mornings and evenings.
• Proficiency with computer applications and systems.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage the kitchen area while maintaining a safe and hygienic lounge environment.
• Prepare hot and cold food for self-service within the lounge.
• Ensure food quality and presentation per SOPs for excellent service.
• Ensure proper storage, handling and packaging of food.
• Follow Food Safety Management System at all times.
• Maintain temperatures of hot food and cold storage per SOP.
• Assist Back of House team with duties as required.
• Adhoc requests by local leadership.

Introduction of a Night Shift Allowance of0.85phwith hours worked between 23:59pm - 06:00am

Recruitment to add in - Cook/pay/night shift/incr after 6 months/increase after 12months *subject to successful completion of probation/skills training

Responsibilities

Job responsibilities:

As a Food preparation agent, you will report to the Shift Team Leader and will be a key member of the Back of House Team focussing on food preparation and food presentation in line with food safety standards and compliance.

• Manage the kitchen area within the lounge, maintaining a safe and hygienic environment.
• Prepare hot and cold food offerings to be presented on a self‑service station within the lounge.
• To ensure the quality and presentation of food is prepared according to all SOPs to guarantee a consistently excellent standard of service.
• Ensure all food is stored, handled and packaged correctly.
• Follow our Food Safety Management System at all times.
• Maintain records of temperatures of hot food and cold storage according to the SOP.
• Assist Back of House team with duties as required.
• Adhoc reasonable requests by local leadership team.

Qualifications
