Job Description:

Unique opportunity to use your food innovation expertise for good in the charity sector.

This is a brand-new opportunity for an Innovation & Project Manager.

Joining a non-profit organisation, you’ll identify opportunities to extend the shelf life of surplus foods, working with food manufacturing partners across the industry.

This will involve leading a variety of complex projects, working with stakeholders across the sector to deliver. Due to the short-shelf life of the products, you’ll be working to challenging timelines. You’ll need excellent project management skills, agility, and strong interpersonal skills.

Through finding innovative ways to extend the shelf life of a wide variety of products, you’ll ensure there’s available, nutritious products all year-round, supporting those who need it most.

To succeed in the role, you’re likely to have a breadth of experience across different categories and food manufacturing processes. You’ll have a track record in delivering innovation projects and experience developing new factory processes.

You’ll need to be commercially savvy – ensuring every penny is spent wisely and gets maximum return. Also entrepreneurial, thinking outside the box to find creative solutions.

Through creating sustainable solutions, you’ll be a key part in changing how the industry manages surplus food. If you are looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact, this is rare opportunity to do so.

The role will involve travel around the UK to visit manufacturing partners.
