An established industry player in food consultancy is seeking a passionate NPD Manager to join their Innovations Team. The business is expanding and have created a new role within the Innovations Team. Their aim is to provide expert consultancy on product development, creating future pipelines, expanding into new categories / markets – all backed up with consumer data and insights.
This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 2 days at London HQ. Ideally looking for candidates on a 6 month fixed term contract, with the potential to move into a permanent role.
Reporting to the Senior Innovation Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in the client partnership and innovation program. You will be responsible for managing a wide variety of project tasks, ensuring seamless execution from ideation to delivery. This includes everything from consumer research to workshop coordination, concept development, SOP creation and supplier briefing.
You’ll be leading project workstreams across multiple teams and projects, managing external partners and ensuring that all milestones are met, or work to mitigate delays. With a strong emphasis on collaboration, you’ll work cross-functionally with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to deliver market-leading innovation.
We are looking for an NPD Manager / Brand Innovation / Insights Manager with solid experience in the food & drink sector, ideally within a branded business. You will need strong food credentials, so a degree in Food Science or Food Marketing Management is preferred, along with consumer research, front-end innovation and NPD project management expertise.
To really excel in this role, you will need a strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize data and research quickly. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are key as you will be building strong client relationships, managing all stakeholders and delivering projects without a hitch.
