Job summary

Barfoots of Botley is recruiting Hygiene Operator to maintain high hygiene standards across production areas. The role covers day and night shifts on a 4-on, 4-off, 12-hour pattern and involves deep cleaning, keeping records, and adhering to safety policies.

You will join a growing company in the food sector with opportunities for training and progression, plus onsite parking and a range of employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience of conducting cleaning practices and proven hygiene work experience.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Desirable: understanding of the fresh food sector (not essential).
• CIEH Food Safety Level 2 is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deep cleaning of production areas and associated equipment.
• Ensure accurate cleaning records at all times.
• Maintain a safe working environment at all times.
• Ensure all hygiene tools are clean, fit for purpose and hygienically stored.
• Ensure cleaning chemicals are stored correctly.
• Record and report hygiene or food safety concerns or incidents.
• Ensure COSHH regulations and health, safety and company policies are adhered to.
• Provide support to the hygiene team as necessary.
• Focus on continuous improvement.
