Job summary

Albert Bartlett in the United Kingdom is seeking a Hygiene Supervisor to join the production team on a shift basis. You will supervise the Hygiene Team during the shift and help ensure food safety compliance across equipment and factory areas.

Responsibilities include training, PPE and SOP adherence, deep cleaning, and maintaining hygiene records. The role requires strong organisation and communication within cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• COSHH/ Food Safety level 2 or above.
• Previous hygiene experience in a food production environment.
• Ability to supervise and support a team to maintain high hygiene standards.
• Good organisational and prioritisation skills during cleaning operations.
• Good communication with colleagues and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Support the Hygiene Team Leader in organising and supervising the Hygiene Team during the shift.
• Monitor hygiene standards across production equipment and factory areas for food safety.
• Assist training and development of the Hygiene department.
• Ensure PPE use and adherence to SOPs and hygiene procedures.
• Clean production line equipment and dismantle/reassemble for deep cleaning.
• Isolate and secure machinery during cleaning per lock-off procedures.
• Post warning signs and keep areas safe during cleaning.
• Maintain staff welfare areas and accurate hygiene records.
