Qualifications

  • Experience in food safety and health inspections.
  • Knowledge of regulations and compliance standards.

Food Health and Safety Officer

Are you ready to make a real impact in your community?

We are looking for a motivated and community focused Food Health and Safety Officer to join our dedicated team at Publica. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional, including those newly qualified.

As a Food Health and Safety Officer no two days are the same, you’ll play a vital role in safeguarding public health, shaping safer communities, and helping local businesses thrive.
You will work within Cirencester and have the autonomy to manage your own diary and carry out inspections and investigations in relation to food hygiene and health and safety at work.

We are committed to maintaining the best standards of food safety, hygiene and compliance therefore we need a knowledgeable and proactive individual to problem solve and help us implement continuous improvements.

We welcome applications from newly qualified officers as well as those with experience.

You will need

  • Degree/Masters/Diploma in Environmental health or Higher Certificate in Food Control and health and safety qualification
  • Ability to build customer relationships
  • Knowledge and experience in assessing complex situations and carrying out inspections
  • Ability to remain calm and confident when dealing with challenging customers and environments
  • Ability to resolve complex issues
