Job description
Overview

Gloucester Guildhall is a venue that is regularly open 7 days a week subject to our cultural programme. We can be open from 8:30am until close, which could be 10pm, midnight or into the early hours. You will work alongside a team of casual and agency staff where you will lead and direct, ensuring the safe sale of alcohol. You will work a mixture of shifts including days and evenings where you could be preparing a buffet for our corporate hirers, serving drinks and snacks to our cinema attendees, or busy serving 400+ attendees at our live events.

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Food & Drink Shift Leader to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of our food and drink services, working frontline, ensuring high standards of customer service and efficiency. You will be confident, pro-active and take initiative when leading a shift. You will pay attention to the small details that make a big difference and you will be able to adjust swiftly to changing situations and handle unexpected challenges with ease. You will bring energy and enthusiasm to your work, motivating those around you. You will work to annualised hours, therefore flexibility is essential - one week you may work slightly less hours and the next slightly more - all to meet the needs of our programme of events.

It is a legal requirement, under the Immigration Act 2016, that anyone appointed to a 'customer facing role' must be able to demonstrate an ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence in fluent English.
