A leading commercial food product manufacturer is seeking a Food Development Technologist in Milton Keynes. This role involves hands-on factory and office work to develop and test food products for supermarkets. Working for this well-established commercial food product manufacturer and supplier as a Food Development Technologist, you’ll have the opportunity to get hands-on with a mixture of both factory and office food development.

Salary – Up to £35,000 Per Annum

Location – Milton Keynes

Role Type – Full Time / Permanent / Mon-Fri / 8-5

The Role

You’ll work closely with kitchen development technologists to create new foods for supermarkets and clients to try. The process involves creating a product that tastes great, then once customer buy-in is achieved, scaling that product for mass production. This role involves trial and error, testing tolerances and variances, weighing, and ensuring the product can meet the requirements of mass production.

It will be a mix of hands-on factory work, which provides data that will need to be logged and stored to further develop the product.

We are looking for either graduates in a relevant food-related discipline or someone with experience in a similar role within food manufacturing in an FMCG environment, possessing HACCP / Food Safety Training. Experience working with own label chilled foods is desirable.
