Food Development Product Designer

Location: UK, London

Length: 2 June 2025 – 29 May 2026

Rate: TBC

Overview

We are looking for someone with food product development experience, ideally in licensing, and experience working in brand partnerships. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the EMEA Product Development team, covering all food and beverage product development aspects across local markets. They will collaborate with the brand partnerships team on cross-functional F&B initiatives.

Responsibilities

  1. Manage freelancers and external agencies in developing creative tools such as mood boards, product mock-ups, and other materials to support product development from infant to adult markets.
  2. Partner with licensees to drive innovation, provide feedback from concept to final product approval, ensuring alignment with brand vision, design quality, and product integrity.
  3. Manage and maintain product approvals efficiently through the internal system.
  4. Build and maintain relationships with cross-functional teams such as Licensing, MSD, and Retail Marketing to support the overall brand vision.
  5. Coordinate with content creators, brand partnerships, BLA, creative marketing, and regional marketing teams to maximize strategic impact.

Experience & Skills

  • 8+ years of experience leading creative vision in food and beverage product development, with experience in entertainment/licensed brands or retail.
  • A strong desire to innovate and think creatively, using storytelling and joy in product development.
  • Knowledge of current F&B trends and NPD, with the ability to apply this knowledge to brand vision and product creation.
  • Understanding of the European retail landscape and competitive brands.
  • Effective communication skills for working with contractors and agencies.
  • Excellent verbal and digital communication skills.
  • Strong project and time management skills.
  • Multilingual abilities are advantageous.
  • Regional experience in EMEA.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is essential.
