Job summary

A well-established food manufacturer in Hounslow is seeking a Food Development Assistant. This role involves supporting the culinary teams, preparing food samples, and assisting with product documentation. Ideal candidates will have a relevant food degree or experience in food manufacturing, along with HACCP knowledge. This position offers up to £28,000 per annum and a full-time contract with numerous benefits including health support and annual leave.

Salary – Up to £28,000 Per Annum

Location – Poole

Role Type – Full Time / Permanent / Mon-Fri / 8:30-5 (Early Finish Friday)

The Role

This role supports the Development and Culinary teams in creating and refining recipes to meet customer expectations. You'll be hands-on in the kitchen preparing samples for key meetings and helping organise customer and internal presentations.

Responsibilities include coordinating sample requests, supporting product developers with NPD documentation, maintaining Recipe Professor, and assisting with raw material sourcing. You’ll help collect specification data, and contribute to artwork approvals. The role also involves completing benchmarking, attending store visits, supporting taste panels, and assisting the process team with trials and factory documentation.

Product tasting, including meat-based items, is required.

We are looking for either graduates in a relevant food related discipline or someone who has been doing a similar role with food manufacturing experience within an FMCG environment who possesses HACCP / Food Safety Training.
