Job summary

Longleat Enterprises Limited (trading as Longleat) is seeking a friendly Food and Beverage Team Member on a fixed term, zero-hour contract until January 2027, to join busy guest-facing outlets such as the Chameleon Tree and Watering Hole Café. You will deliver exceptional service, handle tills, keep areas clean, and help create memorable visits for our guests.

Ideal candidates bring energy, flexibility and a passion for hospitality.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is desirable but not essential.
• Energetic and enthusiastic approach to guest service.
• Excellent communication and a friendly, mature demeanour.
• Able to work well in a team and under pressure.
• Reliable, honest and willing to take responsibility.
• Flexible to work extra hours / weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest standard of guest service at all times.
• Be knowledgeable about products and assist customers with queries.
• Operate tills in line with cash handling procedures.
• Clear and clean tables.
• Maintain front of house hygiene and presentation.
• Drive sales through display replenishment and upselling.
• Record end-of-day wastage to minimise losses.
• Keep service areas clean and hygienic in line with audits.
• Handle and maintain service equipment and utensils correctly.

About the role:

We have an opening for an enthusiastic Food and Beverage Team Member to join our team on a fixed term basis. If you enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of a bustling, guest-facing role where exceptional service takes centre stage then this may be a role for you. Embracing the unpredictability of each day, immersed in the dynamic energy of the Chameleon Tree or serving up delights at the Watering Hole Café, you will also benefit form shifts that offer you a work-life balance.

Your commitment to excellence will shine as you uphold our upbeat guest interactions and maintain the pristine cleanliness and presentation of the food and beverage service areas. You will be central to helping make each guest's visit memorable and enjoyable.

Key duties will include:

• Provide the highest standard of guest service at all times
• Be knowledgeable about all products sold, advising customers and answering queries
• Operate tills in line with cash handling procedure
• Clear and clean tables
• Ensure all front of house areas are clean and tidy in line with Company hygiene standards
• Drive sales by replenishment of display/fridges and upselling
• Record and keep end of day service wastage to a minimum
• Ensure service work areas are kept in a clean and hygienic condition in line with internal periodic audits
• Ensure service equipment and utensils are handled, maintained and used correctly

About you

• Demonstratable customer service experience is desirable, although not essential
• An abundance of enthusiasm and energy, and a passion for delivering a great customer service experience
• Excellent communication skills with a confident, mature and friendly nature
• Good team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well under pressure
• Be honest, reliable and committed, and enjoy responsibility and exceeding expectations
• Flexible to work extra hours / weekends as required

Your contract

This is a zero hour fixed term contract until January 2027.

A range of shifts are available.

• Monday to Friday 12pm to 8.30pm
• Weekends only (6 hour shifts between 0900 and 8.30pm)
• Daily 3pm – 8.30pm
• Combination of these shift patterns

You will be asked to select the shift pattern and number of days you are available as part of your application.
