Job summary

The Radisson Blu Hotel, Glasgow is seeking a part-time Food and Beverage Supervisor (32 hours) to join the Truly Talented team. The role focuses on leading the F&B team, maintaining breakfast service standards, and ensuring guest satisfaction.

You will deputise for the F&B Manager, develop the team, and ensure smooth operation across service periods. Right to work in the UK is required, with a supportive, customer-centric hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Hospitality industry passion required
• Previous supervisory experience in a busy hotel environment preferred
• Excellent personal presentation and professional demeanor
• Good knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety procedures
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Enthusiastic team player with flexible attitude

Responsibilities

• Deputise for the Food & Beverage Manager in their absence and play a vital role in leading and developing the team
• Supervise, encourage and develop the food and beverage team
• Ensure all service standards are maintained throughout the breakfast operation
• Ensure all tables are set and ready for welcoming guests at all times
• Ensure that all guests’ orders are taken and executed in a timely manner
• Have good knowledge of the food and beverage menu
• Respond to guests’ queries on the menu and availability and communicate needs to teams accordingly

Your role

You will work closely with the food and beverage leadership team in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the Hotel and the satisfaction of guests.

Responsibilities of Food and Beverage Supervisor will include but are not limited to:

• You will be expected to deputise for the Food & Beverage Manager in their absence. You will be required to play a vital role in leading and developing the team;
• Supervising, encouraging and developing the food and beverage team;
• To ensure all service standards are maintained throughout the breakfast operation;
• Ensuring that all tables are set and ready for welcoming guests at all times;
• Ensuring that all guests’ orders are taken and executed in a timely manner;
• Having good knowledge of the food and beverage menu;
• Responding to guests’ queries on the menu selection;
• Communicating any guests’ questions on the menu, the length of wait and product availability with the Food & Beverage and Kitchen teams, as well as any additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the teams accordingly.

You’ll work in a busy and hardworking team environment, where you’ll continually learn and develop.

The core skills and experience required to succeed

• Truly passionate about the Hospitality Industry;
• Previous supervisory experience in a busy environment is preferred;
• Excellent personal presentation;
• Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety procedures;
• Ability to function independently with a minimum of supervision;
• Excellent communication skills, the ability to communicate verbally and in writing ;
• To be an enthusiastic team player with a flexible approach.
