Overview
The Food & Beverage Runner ensures a consistent, correct, and quality plate presentation for all dishes and drinks served to customers. Supports and assists Bus Persons, as needed.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional guest service by being prompt, friendly, professional, and responsive, using proper greeting and departure phrases, and adhering to service standards established by F&B management.
- Understand and practice food safety and awareness.
- Check and control food delivered from outlets to the tables.
- Ensure all food is delivered at the specified temperature, with appropriate sauces and sides, and that plates are clean, neat, and appealingly presented.
- Facilitate communication between kitchen staff and front-of-house staff.
- Maintain familiarity with food selections and service standards as set by the Restaurant Manager.
- Respond to guests’ special requests.
- Report any inconsistencies in food and beverage preparation and presentation to management.
- Maintain a clean, safe, secure, and organized work area.
- Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages as needed.
- Assist other restaurant team members as necessary.
- Verify guests' legal drinking age when serving alcohol, following established procedures.
- Carry service trays with drink orders throughout the dining area.
- Assist Bus Persons with setting and bussing tables as needed.
- Monitor RBS parameters for alcohol service, identify signs of intoxication, and inform the manager on duty of any concerns.
- Complete all opening, running, and closing duties.
- Maintain knowledge of food offerings in the Sports Bar.
- Address and resolve guest concerns appropriately, involving management when necessary.
- Provide information on resort amenities, events, and promotions to enhance guest experience.
- Proactively assist other department team members as needed.

- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous guest service experience preferred.
- Must be 21 years or older to serve or sell distilled spirits.
- Ability to read and write fluently in English.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in a 24/7 environment.
- Maintain proper etiquette and guest service standards in the presence of guests and colleagues.
- Register in the RBS Portal, complete authorized RBS training, and pass the ABC Alcohol Server Certification within 30 days of training.
- Obtain a CA Food Handler Card within 30 days of employment.
- Complete Serv Safe certification within 30 days of employment.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, and internet use.
- Apply for and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
- Native American hiring preference applies.
