Job summary

Dalata Hotel Group is seeking a Food & Beverage Assistant in Glasgow. You’ll be trained through the Dalata Academy and work under the Food & Beverage Manager and Operations Manager to deliver friendly, efficient service to hotel guests.

Flexibility is required for mornings/evenings and weekends. Previous high-volume hospitality experience and fluent English are essential; Micros experience is a plus. Opportunities for internal progression exist within our growing portfolio.

Qualifications

• Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
• Micros experience would be preferable.
• Previous experience in hospitality or hotel setting is essential.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests by name and provide friendly, professional service.
• Know the menu and wines, and make recommendations.
• Upsell and maximise sales revenue where possible.
• Assist with general cleaning of bar and restaurant.
• Serve guests with food and beverage.
• Support the team as needed to ensure smooth service.

Food & Beverage Assistant

Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager and the Operations Manager, the Food and Beverage Assistant will provide friendly and efficient service to the hotel guests.

Your Job:

• Regular guests are known and greeted accordingly, using their names.
• Ensure a good working knowledge of food and wine. Be able to make recommendations.
• Be friendly, courteous and professional at all times.
• Upsell and maximise sales revenue whenever and wherever possible.
• General cleaning of bar and restaurant.
• Served guests with food and beverage.

What You’ll Need:

• Previous experienceis essential.
• Flexibility in working hours as the role includes mornings/evenings & weekends. Evening shift availability post 11pm finishes.
• Previous experience in a high-volume/fast-paced environment.
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
• Micros experience would be preferable.
• Experience in a hotel is preferable.
