We are currently recruiting for a Food & Beverage Assistant at Chilston Park Hotel, part of Hand Picked Hotels.

A classic British country house hotel located in rural Kent, Chilston Park Hotel boasts style and charm. Set back from tree-lined lanes, the manor house sits within 77 acres of Kentish parkland, making it one of the region’s most spectacular wedding venues. Its award-winning two AA Rosette restaurant has established Chilston Park Hotel as an ideal setting for a countryside break, romantic wedding, or inspiring meeting venue close to London.

  • The role involves preparing food and beverage service areas to Hand Picked Hotels standards, maintaining high presentation standards.
  • You should have good knowledge of food menu items, including main ingredients, allergens, and preparation styles.
  • Offer accurate and enticing product descriptions with recommendations based on guest preferences.
  • Work enthusiastically with team members to achieve departmental goals.
  • Maintain basic knowledge of the wine list and stock availability.
  • Understand principles of food and wine matching, grape varieties, and flavors.
  • Most importantly, be inspired, have fun, and enjoy being part of our Hand Picked Team.

About You

  • Experience in food and beverage within a quality-driven hotel, restaurant, or hospitality environment.
  • Enthusiastic and willing to take on new responsibilities.
  • Flexible approach to assist in different areas of the hotel as needed.
  • High emotional intelligence to anticipate guest needs and deliver a Hand Picked experience.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality, personalized, and memorable guest experiences that encourage return visits.

The package includes:

  • A competitive salary (amount not specified), plus hours paid at an hourly rate and a share of service charge.
  • Full-Time role, 40 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7 including weekends on a rota.
