Job summary

ISS Facility Services in Glasgow (G5) is seeking a Food & Beverage Experience Host to deliver hospitality across bars, cafés, events, and spaces with a blend of exceptional service and food/beverage knowledge.

You will welcome guests, take orders, and ensure high standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction, working across multiple service areas as part of a collaborative team that values inclusion and high standards.

Qualifications

  • Premium hospitality experience in restaurants, bars, events, or clubs.
  • Strong food and beverage service skills including bar service and barista duties.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
Key Tasks
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, creating engaging and memorable experiences for all guests.
  • Welcome customers warmly, process orders, and prepare and serve food and beverages to the highest standards.
  • Work across a variety of hospitality environments, including bars, cafés, events, hospitality suites, and meeting spaces.
  • Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, presentation, food safety, and health and safety in all front-of-house and back-of-house areas.
  • Develop strong product knowledge and confidently recommend food and beverage options to customers.
  • Anticipate customer needs and proactively resolve service issues.
  • Carry out quality checks to ensure all food and beverages meet the required standards before service.
  • Support the management team in maintaining audit readiness and ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Follow all food safety procedures, allergen controls, labelling requirements, and health and safety practices.
  • Report risks, hazards, and compliance concerns promptly while supporting any corrective actions that may be required.
  • Champion colleague wellbeing, engagement, and positive working practices.

  • Previous experience within premium hospitality environments, including restaurants, bars, events, private members’ clubs, or similar customer-focused settings.
  • Strong food and beverage service skills, with experience in bar service, cocktail preparation, barista duties, or event hospitality considered advantageous.
