Job summary

Away Resorts is seeking a Food & Beverage Assistant for Retallack Resort and Spa in Cornwall. The role involves greeting guests, taking orders, serving drinks and meals, and ensuring a smooth, enjoyable guest experience across our bars and restaurants.

The position is seasonal with variable hours, and you must be 18+ to serve drinks. The package includes benefits such as on-park discounts and pool access, with weekly pay at £12.71 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and assist with seating and service.
• Take food and drink orders accurately and ensure correct delivery.
• Serve behind the bar and provide attentive table service.
• Keep work area clean, tidy and well-stocked.
• Ensure areas are sanitised according to protocols.
• Contribute to a positive guest experience, including on bank holidays.

What you’ll be doing

We’re not your average holiday company. Our guests come to our UK resorts to experience a world away from the day-to-day and our job is to surprise and delight them at every turn.

This includes:

• Meeting and greetings guests with a friendly welcome
• Taking food orders and making sure everyone gets what they asked for
• Serving behind the bar and delivering excellent table service
• Keeping your area clean, tidy and well-stocked
• Ensuring areas are sanitised inline with protocols
• Generally making sure everybody is having a great time

And who knows what else you may find yourself doing. If you’re happy to help even when it’s ‘not your job,’ you’re our sort of person. One more thing…holidays happenat holiday times, so you will need to work your magic on bank holidays too.

Skills, experience and qualities you’ll need

If you can demonstrate the following, we’d love to hear from you:

• Have customer service experience and skills

• Have experience of working in a team
