The role requires exceptional communication and organisational skills, and a strong knowledge of food and beverage standards and best practices. Based in the Mercure Gloucester Bowden Hall Hotel, located on the outskirts of Gloucester in the Cotswolds.

• Deliver high‑quality food and beverage service and supervise a large portion of hotel operations.
• Partner with the Food and Beverage Manager to recruit, train and manage staff.
• Ensure exceptional guest service and uphold brand standards.
• Develop menus in collaboration with culinary teams and manage related cost controls.
• Maintain inventory and manage budgets for the food and beverage function.
• Enforce health and safety regulations and ensure compliance with all relevant standards.
• Monitor industry trends, analyse sales and financial reports, and identify opportunities for growth.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to promote the hotel's food and beverage offerings.
