A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FOOD AND BEVERAGE SUPERVISOR AT MERCURE AND IBIS STYLES PAIGNTON

Your role will involve supervising a shift and all it entails. This may be breakfast, Lunch, dinner or running our 2 bars in either of our restaurants across the two hotels.

Reporting to the Food and Beverage Manager, you can expect your working day to include the following.

Join our team as a Food & Beverage Supervisor at our hotel restaurant and take charge of ensuring exceptional service standards are consistently upheld. Your responsibilities will include overseeing and managing shifts, leading servers, and host/hostesses to maintain excellence throughout operations.

You'll be responsible for assigning duties, delivering comprehensive training, and providing ongoing guidance to foster seamless coordination among team members. Upholding professional conduct is paramount, and you'll ensure all guest interactions align with our company's standards of excellence.

Handling guest queries and complaints with professionalism and efficiency is a crucial aspect of this role. Additionally, you'll play a pivotal role in maximizing sales by skillfully upselling our offerings at every opportunity.

Your commitment to developing the skills of our team members will be valued, as you'll be actively involved in training and coaching initiatives. Moreover, you'll oversee stock ordering processes to optimize availability and ensure efficient management of resources.
