Job description

Open all year round, the Forest Retreat serves as a reception, shop, and café, providing a welcoming space for our guests. You will play a key role in welcoming guests upon arrival and creating a warm, inviting atmosphere throughout their stay. Unlike other hospitality jobs, we provide a better work/life balance than most other hotels or bars can provide. Our opening hours are location dependant, but with our morning shift starting no earlier than 8 am and our evening shift finishing by 9 pm, we offer a different experience of working in hospitality.

You will be a role model for the team, leading by example and ensuring high standards of service and professionalism. In this role you must deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring every guest enjoys the perfect Forest Feeling experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Providing support and motivation to the Food and Beverage Team to ensure high morale and productivity.
  • Delivering training to the team, ensuring they are knowledgeable and equipped to provide exceptional service.
  • Ensuring all areas are properly stocked with the correct inventory and supplies.
  • Conducting regular health and safety checks, including food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Monitoring and maintaining the quality of food and beverage service, ensuring it meets our high standards.
  • Managing the team's workload, ensuring efficient service and timely order fulfilment.
  • Reporting any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate departments.
  • Ensuring compliance with all company policies, food safety regulations, and health & safety standards.
  • Leading by example to promote professionalism, teamwork, and outstanding customer service.
What Are We Looking For?

Our ideal Food and Beverage Supervisor is articulate and approachable. You put our guests at the heart of everything you do and have a helpful, positive personality. Passionate about all the little details that make a holiday great is what makes our guests return time and time again.

  • Experience in a fast-paced F&B or retail environment.
  • Experience leading a team.
  • A positive, can-do attitude and a strong work ethic.
  • The ability to work effectively in a team and communicate well with colleagues.
  • A willingness to get involved, take initiative, and support the team as needed.
  • Attention to detail, ensuring all tasks are completed to our high standards.
  • A desire to work outdoors in a natural setting and contribute to the teams success.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with colleagues and guests.
  • A flexible approach to working across retail, catering, and table service.
  • Great attention to detail, ensuring every guest enjoys a memorable stay.
  • Passion for delivering an outstanding guest experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
Benefits:
  • Generous holiday allowance - Take the time you need to recharge and enjoy a healthy work-life balance.

  • One full paid day to volunteer - Give back to a cause you care about.
  • Subsidised meals - Discounted food when working on location.
  • Wellbeing events & activities - Focus on your mental and physical wellness.
  • Save on cabin breaks - Enjoy up to 20% off pre-booked stays or last-minute breaks for just £75 per cabin. Friends and family also receive 15% off.
