Job description

We are seeking an experienced Food and Beverage Assistant to join our team at Waverley Abbey House. Our goal is to provide a world-class service in all areas of hospitality, centered around simple excellence. We aim to deliver a 5-star experience that makes each guest feel valued and well-served with kindness and excellence in customer service.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparation and setup of our cafe (indoor and outdoor), event dining, and catering areas for service
• Serving meals and refreshments to a high standard
• Clearing away and washing up
• Assisting with catering-related cleaning tasks

What we are looking for:

• 2+ years’ experience in a busy, high-profile hospitality venue
• Team player with strong communication skills
• Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy
• Sense of urgency and proactive attitude
• Ability to multitask under pressure and show initiative
• Genuine passion for food and beverage
• Customer-oriented, service-minded, flexible
• Availability for varying shifts including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and both opening and closing shifts

Reporting to: Food and Beverage Operations Manager

Hours: 40 hours per week on a shift basis
