Overview

This role as a Food and Beverage Team Member at Avery Healthcare involves supporting the dining service and assisting residents with their meals. The role requires compassion, dedication, and a commitment to delivering high-quality culinary services to the residents.

Job responsibilities

• Support residents with choosing their meal options during dining.
• Ensure dining tables are set according to standard operating procedures.
• Keep the front of the house clean, tidy, and well-presented; ensure dirty crockery is removed and replenished throughout the day.
• Ensure fresh homemade cakes/biscuits, finger foods, and fresh fruit options are accessible and replenished during the day.
• Be aware of residents’ dietary requirements.
• Shift details: Two positions available – 40 hours per week (07:00-15:00 or 12:00-19:30) and 24 hours per week (08:00-14:30).

About the role

Your focus as a Food and Beverage Team Member is to support the dining service and assist residents with their meals. Other responsibilities include: supporting residents with choosing meal options; ensuring tables are set; keeping the front of the house clean and presentable; replenishing crockery and items throughout the day; ensuring availability of fresh homemade items and dietary accommodations.

About you

To succeed, you should demonstrate caring, supportive, honest, respectful and accountable values. The ideal candidate will have:

• High standards of personal hygiene.
• Experience in a similar setting (restaurant or hotel) desirable.
• A basic Food Hygiene Certificate (beneficial).
• Compassion and commitment to delivering culinary services to residents.
