Job summary

Surrey Police seeks a Supervisor for the Information Access Team at Surrey Police Headquarters in Guildford. You will lead a team handling FOI and DP requests, ensuring timely, compliant responses.

The role requires FOI/DP Act knowledge, supervisory and strong communication skills, with confidentiality under pressure. It is fixed-term maternity cover, 36 hours weekly, with salary at the bottom of the range.

Qualifications

• Education to 'A' level or equivalent.
• Experience with FOI/Data Protection Acts desirable, but training provided.
• Experience supervising a team.
• Strong interpersonal, written, verbal and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of decision makers and disclosure officers, answering queries and providing training.
• Advise on disclosures under FOI/Data Protection and related legislation; ensure compliant responses.
• Engage with NPCC FOI Team and ICO to share guidance and decisions across Forces.
• Generate and analyse statistical performance data for the team.
