Job summary

The London Borough of Hounslow is seeking an experienced Senior Information Request Officer to join the Information Request Team. You will lead efficient processes for FOI, EIR, SAR and GDPR requests, offering guidance and training to services across the council.

As part of the Digital, IT & Resilience service, you will promote data protection compliance and ensure policy adherence while supporting a culture of openness and accountability. Interviews dates to be confirmed.

Qualifications

• Experience with Freedom of Information Act 2000, Environmental Information Regulations 2004, and UK GDPR/Data Protection Act 2018.
• Ability to communicate with internal/external stakeholders and handle complex inquiries.
• Experience delivering training and creating guidance materials.
• Proven leadership skills and role modelling for a team.
• Strong emphasis on transparency and data protection in all processes.

• Lead and drive FOI/EIR/SAR/GDPR requests across services.
• Provide advice, training and guidance to staff handling information requests.
• Promote a strategic approach to information governance within the council.
