Job summary

Klondyke at Houghton Hall Garden Centre in Carlisle is seeking Part Time Permanent Front of House Assistants for our Restaurant. You will provide excellent customer service, take orders, and serve meals and drinks to guests, while keeping full knowledge of the menus and working closely with FOH and kitchen teams to run the restaurant smoothly.

We offer hourly pay between £10.40 and £12.75, with 24 hours per week over 3 days or 16 hours per week over 3 days.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in frontline roles.
• Barista experience preferred but training will be provided.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain front of house to company standards.
• Present menus, take orders, and suggest food and beverages.
• Provide counter service and prepare beverages.
• Deliver meals to customers at their tables.
• Prepare restaurant tables with hygiene in mind.
• Process payments at electronic till points.
• Perform basic cleaning and close FOH areas daily.
• Assist with back-of-house duties as required.

Job description

We are looking for Part Time Permanent Front of House Assistants to join the team in our Restaurant in Houghton Hall Garden Centre.

Our competitive rate of pay ranges from £10.40 to £12.75 per Hour dependent on age.

Roles available are 24 hours per week over 3days & 16 per week over 3 days. All positions involve weekend work so flexibility is a must.

The Role

As a Front of House Assistant, you have a responsibility to provide excellent customer service, take orders, and serve our fantastic food and drinks to our customer. You will need to have full knowledge of the food and beverage menus and will work closely with your FOH and kitchen teams to ensure the restaurant runs smoothly.

What you will be doing as a Front of House Assistant?

• Set up and maintain the front of house and counters each day to our company standards
• Presenting menus, serving, and helping customers select food and beverage by offering suggestions
• Providing Counter Service and preparing beverages.
• Deliver our Chef prepared meals to customers at their tables
• Preparing restaurant tables with special attention to hygiene and cleanliness
• Processing payment at electronic till points
• Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed
• Closing front of house areas each day to our company standards
• May be required to assistwith back of house duties
