Focused Improvement Engineer
Location: Hayes (On-site)
Hours: MondayFriday, 8-hour day shifts
Salary: £50,000 £57,000 benefits

Were looking for a hands-on Focused Improvement Engineer to help drive performance across production lines. This is a factory-floor role, where youll solve problems, improve machinery, and lead change.
What youll do
Lead improvement projects using A3 methodology
Work closely with Maintenance, Reliability, Projects, and Ops teams
Solve hands-on issues across mechanical, electrical, and controls systems
Analyse production data to spot trends and opportunities
Support escalated issues and step in for the Engineering Manager when needed
Create useful guides and documentation for set-up and troubleshooting
Help boost safety, efficiency, and performance across the line
What were looking for
Engineering qualifications (NVQ Level 3, BTEC, Apprenticeship, etc.)
Multi-skilled: mechanical, electrical, and basic PLC/control knowledge
Experience in fast-paced manufacturing (FMCG preferred)
Strong problem-solver and team player
Confident with IT tools like Excel and Word
Fluent in English, with a curious, hands-on mindset maybe even a tech tinkerer
