Job summary

Alexander Steele Recruitment is assisting an award-winning FMCG business to recruit a Senior Supply Chain Manager in Surrey. You will lead a 6-strong team across procurement, planning and logistics to maintain product availability and drive efficiency.

The role offers scope to shape supply chain strategy, optimise working capital and partner closely with Sales, Operations and Planning to support rapid growth in a turnover exceeding £100 million.

Qualifications

• Experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Purchasing or Logistics.
• Previous leadership or team management experience.
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• Understanding of supply planning, inventory management and supplier performance.
• Experience working in FMCG, Food Manufacturing or fast-paced environments.
• Strong analytical skills and comfort with data/spreadsheets.
• Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management.
• Ambitious, driven and keen to develop within a growing business.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of 6 Supply Chain professionals.
• Manage supplier relationships and negotiate commercial agreements.
• Oversee procurement, inventory management and supply planning activities.
• Ensure stock availability while optimising working capital.
• Manage inbound logistics, imports and freight operations.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations and Planning teams to support growth.
• Drive continuous improvement, cost-saving initiatives and supply chain efficiencies.
• Monitor and report on key supply chain performance metrics.
