Job summary

Samworth Brothers, via Walker & Son Bakery, seeks an experienced Operations Manager to join the Senior Leadership Team at our busy Leicester manufacturing site. You will shape operational strategy and lead excellence across manufacturing, continuous improvement, and transformational initiatives to position the site for sustainable growth.

Qualifications

Proven leader with senior-ship experience in fast-paced FMCG/food manufacturing.
Strong people leadership for large teams and developing future talent.
Proven track record leading change, transformation, and continuous improvement.
Commercially astute with budget management experience.
Ability to influence at senior leadership level and lead through change and ambiguity.

Responsibilities

Deliver the site's operational strategy, driving performance and CI.
Deputise for the Site Director and lead key operations functions.
Drive major transformation projects to improve safety, quality, service, cost and sustainability.
Develop future leadership through talent identification, succession planning and coaching.
Build cross-functional relationships to support growth, customer satisfaction, and excellence.
