Job summary

Michael Page is assisting a Surrey-based FMCG manufacturer to recruit an experienced Production/Operations Manager. You will lead health and safety, own external audits (BRC and customer) and manage SOP and operational standards.

You will drive continuous improvement, oversee maintenance, support new equipment/processes, and ensure HACCP, GMP and BRCGS compliance while partnering with the leadership team to elevate performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing operations in FMCG/food manufacturing.
• Proven track record leading BRC and customer audits.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP and BRCGS compliance.

Responsibilities

• Own Health & Safety across the site and manage risk controls.
• Lead external audits, including BRC and customer audits.
• Maintain and develop SOP framework for safe, consistent operations.
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, reliability and efficiency.
• Investigate root causes and implement lasting improvements.
• Oversee maintenance planning and contractor coordination.
• Support equipment changes, new processes and ways of working.
• Collaborate with management to raise standards and performance.
