Job summary
Carlsberg Britvic in Northampton is seeking an Engineering Team Leader to lead a multi-skilled maintenance team within a high-volume FMCG operation, delivering safe, reliable plant performance.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will develop capability, plan preventive maintenance, and drive continuous improvement using TPM, Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance overall equipment effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Proven experience leading engineering maintenance teams in FMCG/manufacturing.
- Strong planning and asset reliability knowledge.
- Experience with health, safety, and regulatory standards in production.
- Lean, TPM and structured problem-solving experience.
- HNC in engineering or equivalent leadership experience.
- Ability to collaborate across functions and communicate effectively.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop a multi-skilled engineering team with safety and continuous improvement at the forefront.
- Ensure compliance with HSE, LOTO and food safety standards across shifts.
- Manage performance via appraisals, training plans and reviews.
- Develop engineering capability through coaching, certification and mentoring.
- Plan, prioritise and coordinate reactive and preventative maintenance to maximise reliability.
- Drive improvements using TPM, RCA, Kaizen, Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
