Job summary

The Bristol-based manufacturing business is seeking an Engineering Team Leader to drive shift performance, coach up to 5 engineers and ensure reliable equipment operation. You'll lead continuous improvement projects, coordinate preventive maintenance, and work closely with the Maintenance & Engineering Manager to boost site performance while maintaining safety and engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Engineering qualification (Level 2 or above).
• Previous experience leading, mentoring or supervising engineers.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Positive, proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
• FMCG or fast-paced manufacturing experience highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of up to 5 engineers
• Coordinate and oversee planned preventative maintenance activities
• Support rapid response to breakdowns and minimise production downtime
• Drive continuous improvement and root cause analysis activities
• Ensure engineering standards, safety and compliance are maintained
• Work closely with the Maintenance & Engineering Manager to improve site performance
