Job summary

Synergi Search & Select Ltd is partnering with a leading food manufacturer in Chichester to recruit a Maintenance Engineer. You will perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on high-speed production machinery, contributing to safety, quality and uptime.

The role requires an apprentice-trained engineer with an NVQ3 in electrical engineering, 2+ years in manufacturing, and PLC knowledge. The company offers a competitive salary up to £54,000, pension, healthcare and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained electrical maintenance engineer with an NVQ3 in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Ability to work a rotation pattern.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably FMCG.
• Excellent knowledge of manufacturing equipment and experience on production lines, warehouses and distribution centres.
• Understanding of PLC control system architecture and field devices.
• Strong MS Office skills and experience with CMMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance including planned and reactive maintenance on high speed production machinery.
• Record all relevant data including refurbishments and overhauls that are required.
• Support operations by developing training materials.
• Collaborate with other teams to identify and solve problems.
• Continually improve equipment maintenance strategies.
• Analyse PLC faults and diagnose external faults using various software programs.
