To participate in the provision of the in-house FM services to a specified area within the Trust, which may include in-patient areas and retail outlets. The FM services comprise of cleaning, catering, portering, bed making, and laundering services. You must maintain the environment to an excellent standard and work alongside patients while carrying out your duties.

Main duties of the job

The Estates & Facilities Department is responsible for delivering high quality and cost-effective services across Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking to appoint enthusiastic and highly motivated team players to join the Estates & Facilities cleaning team to deliver excellent environments for Healthcare within our units in Chelmsford.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that assigned areas are cleaned according to the Work Schedule.
  • Work with your supervisor to ensure the Work Schedule is manageable.
  • Use correct cleaning materials and dispose of waste appropriately.
  • Assist with food services and laundry tasks when applicable.
  • Carry out portering duties as assigned.
