FM Account Manager

Position Type: Permanent

Location: Must be based in the Midlands

Salary: GBP45,000 - GBP50,000

Work Arrangement: Fully Remote role, with travel to clients as required

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced FM Account Manager to join a well-established company. This is a remote role; however, regular travel to client sites and supplier meetings will be required.

The ideal candidate will bring strong account management experience within the Facilities Management sector. You will be commercially minded, proactive in problem-solving, and confident in communicating effectively with both clients and internal teams.

Duties include:

  1. Take full ownership of assigned accounts and manage direct reports.
  2. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and the supply chain.
  3. Investigate escalations and issues, providing accurate information and effective resolutions.
  4. Collect, analyse, and report data accurately as required.
  5. Monitor and challenge supplier performance in relation to SLAs and scopes of work.
  6. Proactively identify and address operational gaps to enhance service delivery.
  7. Manage financial reconciliation processes for planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
  8. Perform day-to-day administrative duties, including handling quotes, purchase orders, shared mailbox management, pre-approvals, and invoices.
  9. Lead meetings, including preparing KPI reports, documenting minutes, and tracking follow-up actions.

To be considered for this role, you will have/be:

  • Strong communicator with excellent verbal and written skills, both over the phone and in person; capable of addressing and resolving issues effectively and professionally.
  • Passionate about delivering outstanding customer satisfaction and service excellence.
  • Experienced in managing and collaborating with third-party suppliers and service providers.
  • Commercially astute, with a solid understanding of KPIs and SLAs.
  • Based within a 45-minute commute of Rochester, Kent, with full flexibility to travel to client or supplier sites as required.
