Fluid System Design Engineer (Nuclear Watchkeeper) - Submarines
Full Time Hybrid (min 3 days)/Derby/Cardiff/Glasgow
An opportunity has arisen for a Fluid Systems Design Engineer to join our Dreadnought Fluid Systems team. This role is ideally suited to a Nuclear Watchkeeper with Submarine operator experience or a Fluid Systems Design Engineer with experience in the nuclear or allied sectors.
The Dreadnought Fluid Systems team is responsible for creating key safety, design, build, commissioning, and operational documentation for the UK's next-generation Ballistic Submarines' Nuclear Steam Raising Plant. The team collaborates closely with the Ministry of Defence, third-party partners, The Royal Navy, BAE Systems, Babcock Marine, and Rolls-Royce offices in Devonport, Clyde, and Barrow.
As a Fluid Systems Engineer, you will be integrating individual components into a reliable and functional system, often acting as an integrator to combine technical knowledge from various disciplines for submarine build, commissioning, and operation.
