Fluid System Design Engineer (Nuclear Watchkeeper) - Submarines
Type: Full Time, Hybrid (min 3 days) / Derby, Cardiff, Glasgow
An opportunity has arisen for a Fluid Systems Design Engineer to join our Dreadnought Fluid Systems team. This role is ideally suited to a Nuclear Watchkeeper with submarine operator experience or a Fluid Systems Design Engineer with nuclear or related sector experience.
The team is responsible for creating safety, design, build, commissioning, and operational documentation for the UK's next-generation ballistic submarines' Nuclear Steam Raising Plant. Collaborations include the Ministry of Defence, third-party partners, The Royal Navy, BAE Systems, Babcock Marine, and Rolls-Royce sites.
As a Fluid Systems Engineer, you will integrate components into reliable systems, acting as an integrator that combines technical disciplines for submarine build, commissioning, and operation.
