Job Description:

Belcan Workforce Solutions is currently looking for a Lead Stress Engineer to work for one of our clients based in Prestwick, UK.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Fluid Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic Test Centre team. This is your chance to lead a cutting-edge test rig design and build project from detailed design freeze through to entry into service.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead with Vision: Guide your team through the critical design review (CDR) phase, ensuring the detailed design is completed to the highest standards.
  • Innovate and Implement: Develop and execute a robust build plan, bringing innovative solutions to life.
  • Drive Excellence: Oversee the Verification and Validation process, ensuring the test rig meets all requirements and is ready for service.
  • Coordinate and Prioritize: Manage technical activities within the team, ensuring the right priorities are set and met.
  • Support and Overcome: Provide day-to-day support to your team, helping them navigate and overcome technical challenges.
What You'll Bring:
  • Test Lab Expertise: Proven experience working in a test laboratory environment.
  • Safety First: Experience working in hazardous environments, ensuring safety and compliance.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in systems testing techniques and working with large, high-pressure fluid mechanical systems.
  • Instrumentation Knowledge: Familiarity with hydro-mechanical instrumentation installations and data logging/acquisition.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Ability to influence and work effectively across disciplinary, organizational, and trans-national boundaries.
