Position: Fluid Mechanical Design Engineer

Pay rate: £50.00 p/h inside IR35.

Location: Bristol, UK

Role Type: 06 Month contract with extension

IO Associates seeks a Fluid Mechanical Design Engineer for the Filton site. Join a global aerospace leader specializing in commercial and military aircraft, helicopters, defense, and space sectors. Responsibilities

Led the team through the detailed design phase, successfully passing the Critical Design Review (CDR).
Developed and implemented an efficient build plan.
Led Verification and Validation (V&V) of the test rig, ensuring a smooth entry into service.
Coordinated technical activities, ensuring proper prioritization of key topics.
Provided hands-on support to the team, resolving technical challenges effectively.

Skills

Experience working in a test laboratory environment.
Experience operating in hazardous environments.
Proficient in systems testing techniques.
Expertise in large, high-pressure fluid mechanical systems.
Knowledge of hydro-mechanical instrumentation installations.
Familiarity with data logging and acquisition systems.
