Position: Fluid Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Bristol, UK

Role Type: 06 Month contract with extension

Position: Hybrid

IO Associates seeks a Fluid Mechanical Design Engineer for the Filton site. Join a global aerospace leader specializing in commercial and military aircraft, helicopters, defense, and space sectors. This role offers a chance to contribute to innovative projects within a dynamic team shaping the future of aviation and space systems.

Responsibilities
  • Led the team through the detailed design phase, successfully passing the Critical Design Review (CDR).
  • Developed and implemented an efficient build plan.
  • Led Verification and Validation (V&V) of the test rig, ensuring a smooth entry into service.
  • Coordinated technical activities, ensuring proper prioritization of key topics.
  • Provided hands-on support to the team, resolving technical challenges effectively.
Skills:
  • Experience working in a test laboratory environment.
  • Experience operating in hazardous environments.
  • Proficient in systems testing techniques.
  • Expertise in large, high-pressure fluid mechanical systems.
  • Knowledge of hydro-mechanical instrumentation installations.
  • Familiarity with data logging and acquisition systems.
