Qualifications

Position Overview

You will join the Global Fluid Intelligence team as an Equipment Service Engineer, working across our European client base to install, maintain, and service Quaker Houghton equipment. Our QH FLUID INTELLIGENCE platform is a fully digital, automated solution providing real-time monitoring and control of fluid performance and costs, enhancing production and sustainability by reducing waste, risk, and total ownership costs.

Responsibilities
  1. Survey customer sites prior to equipment supply and installation.
  2. Handle all aspects of equipment installation and commissioning.
  3. Perform scheduled servicing of manual and automated plants, including cleaning, inspection, and testing per standard procedures.
  4. Conduct detailed audits of plant/machines, identifying faults and repair needs.
  5. Install, repair, and maintain manual and automated plant equipment at client sites.
  6. Generate detailed material lists for service, maintenance, and installation tasks.
  7. Complete detailed service reports and related documentation.
  8. Promote the company and its services during on-site visits and correspondence.
  9. Commit to Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and practices.
  10. Provide training and share knowledge with team members and clients.
  11. Perform other duties as requested in line with company business needs.
  12. Travel approximately 70% annually within the EMEA region, mainly to customer manufacturing locations.
Candidate Profile

Education: Mechanical or Electrical engineering qualification, preferably with a mechanical focus.

Experience: Minimum 4 years in a customer-facing service engineering role.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in pneumatics, heating, cooling, control systems, pumping systems, process valves, instrumentation, steam heating systems, etc.
  • Experience installing capital equipment products.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.
  • Ability to interpret pneumatic, electrical, mechanical, P&ID drawings.
Location & Travel

Based in the Coventry area with reasonable commuting distance. Willingness to travel overseas as needed.
