Fluid Dynamics Engineer - Power Transmission & Rotating Equipment

Based in London | £50,000-£60,000 + Bonus + Benefits | Permanent, Full-time

I am recruiting two experienced Fluidrive Engineers to join a growing team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a site-based role working within the field of power transmission systems and rotating machinery, supporting a diverse customer base across industries such as oil & gas, rail, marine, mining, energy, and heavy mechanical engineering.

This is a unique opportunity to work on high-performance drive systems, combining hands-on engineering, technical design, and customer-facing collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Create and revise technical and manufacturing drawings using AutoCAD and Siemens NX
2. Maintain technical records and ensure drawings meet BS 8888 standards
3. Manage engineering documentation through Team Centre
4. Liaise with internal teams, field service engineers, and international partners
5. Support product overhauls, repairs, and new system designs
6. Own and resolve technical NCRs relating to Fluidrive products
7. Provide engineering input to support sales, purchasing, and quality teams
8. Visit suppliers and assist with casting, machining, and manufacturing processes
9. Collaborate with customers across the UK, Ireland, and overseas

Required Skills & Experience:

1. Minimum 8 years' experience in mechanical design/manufacturing
2. HND or higher in Mechanical Engineering
3. Skilled in AutoCAD, Siemens NX, and Team Centre
4. Knowledge of engineering change, document control, and BS 8888
5. Strong grasp of non-ferrous casting processes and ISO 9001:2015
6. Experience with rotating equipment, gear units, couplings, or drive systems
7. Commercial awareness and excellent technical communication skills
8. A hands-on, adaptable team player with a passion for mechanical engineering
