TeacherActive is recruiting a Fluent Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant for a Welsh-medium primary school in Neath Port Talbot. This full-time role is temporary to permanent, starting 1st September 2026, supporting pupils in a Welsh-medium setting.

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to support learning, promote engagement, and provide high-quality classroom assistance across the curriculum, with a focus on Welsh language delivery.

Qualifications

• Fluent Welsh language skills, both spoken and written.

• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience.

The school is looking to appoint a full-time Fluent Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant on a temporary to permanent basis, starting on 1st September and continuing until the end of the 2026/2027 academic year. The successful Fluent Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils in their learning, promote engagement across the curriculum and provide high-quality classroom support through the medium of Welsh.

The successful Fluent Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant will have:

• Fluent Welsh language skills, both spoken and written
