Job summary

First Choice are seeking motivated and detail-oriented FLT Operators with Reach truck experience for a long-standing delivery and storage company. You will operate forklifts and material handling equipment to move goods within a warehouse, supporting accurate shipping, receiving and inventory flow.

Ideal applicants will have Reach Truck Licence (UK) and proven warehouse experience, with good physical stamina and a keen eye for safety and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center.
• Good physical stamina for heavy lifting, standing, walking, and repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklift trucks and other warehouse equipment to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the facility
• Manual handling, heavy lifting and unloading trailers and then using the truck
• Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, verifying shipments against purchase orders and delivery documents
• Perform routine equipment inspections, maintenance checks, and minor repairs to ensure optimal operation
• Handle materials with care, including heavy lifting and precise placement of goods in designated storage areas
• Support warehouse organisation by stacking, sorting, and storing products efficiently
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and maintain a safe working environment

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role. You will operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to efficiently move, load, and unload goods within the warehouse environment. Your expertise will ensure smooth inventory flow, accurate shipping and receiving processes, and safe handling of materials.
